Rugby Union - Leicester Betting Affected By Skipper Injury?
Leicester Tigers captain Geordan Murphy is nursing a sore shoulder this week after appearing to dislocate the limb against Bath on Saturday (September 26th). Coach Richard Cockerill told the press that it is not yet known how bad the injury is, but more information is expected to be available later on Monday.
"His shoulder's popped out and gone back in and he's a bit sore," he remarked. "It's probably the one real downside of the evening."
Leicester were held to a 20-20 draw at Bath, leaving them in fifth position in the Guinness Premiership table on 11 points - five behind first-placed Saracens, who have a perfect record from their four games this season.
Despite the rankings and Murphy's injury, however, the Tigers remain the favourites to win the 2010 Grand Final at the bookmakers, with Stan James(Go to Stan James ») pricing them at 9/4.
Saracens are the fifth favourites at 9/1 with Betfred(Go to Betfred »).
