Rugby Union Betting News - Cipriani And Mitchell Recovering
Injuries to Wasps players Danny Cipriani and Lachlan Mitchell may not be as serious as first feared, the club has suggested. Fly half Cipriani was substituted in the side's 20-15 victory over Northampton on Sunday (October 4th) due to knee damage.
Mitchell came on to replace Cipriani, but was himself carried off the field after receiving a knock to the head while making a last-minute try-saving tackle on Chris Ashton.
According to a statement released by Wasps, both athletes are recovering well and could return to action at the weekend.
Australian Mitchell was discharged from Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury after being diagnosed with mild concussion and will undertake a five-day protocol before being deemed fit to play.
Cipriani will be reviewed regarding his availability for selection over the next two days after sustaining a contusion to his knee, in which time he is undergoing "acute injury management".
Wasps are currently third in the Guinness Premiership and Coral(Go to Coral ») offers odds of 6/1 on them winning the league.
Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») considers Leicester the favourites to take the title at 11/4.
