Rugby Union Betting News - Clerc Says Quins Will Be Desperate To Win
This Saturday's Heineken Cup clash with Harlequins could provide a tough test for Toulouse, the French side's winger has claimed. Vincent Clerc said that Quins will be desperate to win as it is a "do or die" game for them after failing to overcome the Cardiff Blues in their opening match-up.
"It is a key game for them because they lost to the Blues and can't afford the smallest slip up," he remarked, adding that another defeat and "they will be practically out" of the competition.
Clerc noted that Toulouse's 36-17 victory over Sale Sharks last week, in which the 28-year-old scored two tries, was an "important" step forward for the club.
Toulouse are set to face Quins on the London side's home ground at Twickenham Stoop, a match in which the visiting side are the favourites, with bookmaker Betfair(Go to Betfair ») offering odds of 11/21 on an away win.
Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») also considers the French giants the most likely to win the cup at 7/2.
