Rugby Union Betting - Former Gloucester Skipper Return To Boost Odds?
Injury-ridden Gloucester Rugby have re-signed former captain Jake Boer for back row support, the club has revealed. Bryan Redpath, head coach, said it is "no secret" that the team has been hit with a range of problems with squad members sustaining damaged and stated that fan favourite Boer could help strengthen the dilapidated side.
"He's [Boer] been playing in South Africa so is in great physical condition and is raring to go," Redpath said.
Having previously joined the Kingsholm-based club in 2000, he skippered for two years between 2002 and 2004, before returning to South Africa after appearing over 180 times.
Gloucester face Biarritz this weekend in the Heineken Cup and Boer has been registered for European action, meaning he will be available for selection.
