Rugby Union Betting - Johnson Delays Naming England Team

Martin Johnson is to delay naming his England rugby union side for this weekend's clash against Australia in light of the injury problems facing the team.

Almost a dozen players have been forced out of his 32-man squad in the run-up to Saturday's match at Twickenham and uncertainty over who will be available has led to the manager putting off confirming the team until Wednesday.

However, Johnson suggested he still has faith the depleted side will turn in a good performance.

"We are confident in the group we've got," he remarked. "It's a good blend. With the challenges we've got this week, we can be very competitive."

Jonny Wilkinson is expected to play in the match, but despite his record against the Wallabies - including his winning exploits in the 2003 World Cup final - Australia are 4/6 to take victory at Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes »).

Meanwhile, England are 5/4 to triumph on home turf at Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power »).
