Jamie Roberts To Remain At Cardiff Blues

Influential centre Jamie Roberts has agreed to a contract extension that will see him remain at Cardiff Blues for at least the next three years.

The 22-year-old, who was among the main standouts of the Lions tour of South Africa in 2009, has spent two seasons at the club and suggested he is excited about the prospect of being there for many more.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with the Blues," he commented.

"Cardiff is my home city and I'm very passionate about sport in the city and Cardiff in general."

Roberts will be expected to play against Edinburgh on Saturday, a match the Blues could do with winning if they are to keep in touch with the top seven sides in the Magners League.

They currently lie eighth in the table, but are sixth favourites at 12/1 to win the 2010 Grand Final with Bet365(Go to Bet365 »). Meanwhile, Edinburgh are 16/1 at Skybet(Go to Skybet »).
