Cipriani Plays Down Six Nations Hopes
Wasps player Danny Cipriani has admitted that he does not believe he will be named as one of Martin Johnson's England players for the Six Nations. Johnson will be announcing his picks tomorrow, but Cipriani noted that with little match play in recent months, he is unlikely to make the squad.
The 22-year old has featured only three times since returning from a broken leg and told Sky Sports News he will understand if he fails to make the cut.
"It's about me playing well enough so that I can get back in the (England) side," he remarked. "But a few more games under my belt and hopefully I will be ready."
Commenting on his future at Wasps, Cipriani added that he is looking to have a new contract in place by next month.
England are currently 5/1 with Totesport(Go to Totesport ») to win the Six Nations - which starts in February - while Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power ») considers France the favourite at 13/8.
