Gatland: Keep Faith In Johnson
England fans need to give manager Martin Johnson support in his role, the Wales coach has claimed. While in charge, Johnson has seen England lose eight out of 14 Tests, including three poor performances in the autumn internationals.
However, Gatland has expressed his hope that the former international player is given time to get settled into the role.
He remarked: "[Johnson] was given an opportunity to coach international rugby and he probably thought it was a chance he thought he could not turn down."
According to Gatland, former coach Sir Clive Woodward was afforded a lot of leeway when he took charge of the team and Johnson should receive the same clemency.
England next face Wales at Twickenham on February 6th as part of the RBS Six Nations, a match in which they are currently 8/13 favourites with 888Sport(Go to 888sport »).
Betdaq(Go to Betdaq ») has Wales as the underdogs for the contest at 123/100.
