Johnson: We Are Happy To Win
England coach Martin Johnson has confirmed that his side are just happy to escape Sunday's (February 14th) Six Nations match against Italy with a win. While he admitted the team's performance was disappointing in some areas, he noted that the 17-12 victory is the most important thing.
He remarked: "The guys knew they could have done better. You can lose close games like that if you lose your discipline and composure."
According to the former England international, Italy are a difficult team to break down and he noted that Wales and Scotland have both lost when they have gone to play them on home soil.
Johnson added that possession remained a problem throughout the match and the number of missed kicks is a concern for future games.
Ireland are England's next opponents, with the latter an 8/13 favourite with both Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») and Bet365 to come away with a victory in the February 27th contest.
