Andy Goode To Join Worcester Warriors

Andy Goode is set to make a return to English club rugby, having signed a deal to join Worcester Warriors.

The international fly-half is currently appearing for South African Super 14 side Sharks, having joined them from French outfit Brive.

However, the 29-year-old - who has scored 107 points in 17 appearances for England - will arrive at the Warriors this summer.

And director of rugby Mike Ruddock welcomed the deal, noting that the club is "delighted" by the prospect.

"I believe that Andy's pedigree is without question and he has been one of English rugby's top performers over the last decade with England, Leicester Tigers and most recently Brive," he commented.

Worcester are currently one point above the foot of the Guinness Premiership table and are priced 11/4 by Betfred(Go to Betfred ») to finish in that position this year.

Leeds, who are in last place at the moment, have been given odds of 4/11 by Coral(Go to Coral »).
