Leicester Tigers Go Top Again

Leicester Tigers coach Richard Cockerill has urged his players to continue their push for the championship.

The side returned to the top of the Premiership table after a 31-7 away victory over Newcastle Falcons, with Lewis Moody grabbing a brace of tries along the way.

However, the game was over as a contest at half time after Leicester ran in four converted tries, while their opponents did manage to get on the scoreboard in the second half.

Cockerill's side are now 6/5 with Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») to win the grand final, while Northampton are second favourites with odds of 9/4 at Coral(Go to Coral »).

He noted that the league offers a number of challenges every week, but he hopes that they can finish top of it again.

"We're a good side and if we play well, we will cause any side problems, but the focus has to be on doing the simple things well which we did today," Cockerill added.
