Leinster Have Injury Worries Ahead Of Heineken Cup

Leinster have injury concerns over four of their players ahead of the Heineken Cup semi-final encounter against Toulouse.

Jonathan Sexton, Rob Kearney, Girvan Dempsey and Fergus McFadden are all worries coming into the game.

The Irish province are 2/1 with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet »), while the French side are the 4/9 favourites with Blue Square(Go to Blue Square »).

Michael Cheika, coach of the side, noted that they all face a race against time if they are to line out this weekend.

He added that Kearney is the most likely to make it, but it will be the potential absence of fly-half Sexton that could be the most important.

Cheika said: "The only way that he will be playing is if we feel that he can do his job to the fullest".

There would be no point hiding him out in the back line if he cannot engage opponents fully, he remarked, but if he cannot he believes they have a ready-made replacement in the shape of Shaun Berne.
