Pietersen knock makes him firm top batsman favourite
Kevin Pietersen is the odds-on favourite to be England's top batsman in the Test series against the West Indies following his knock of 97 yesterday (February 4th).The former captain was by far the team's best performer on day one of the first Test as England stumbled to 236 for 5.Sulieman Benn prevented Pietersen from reaching his 16th Test century, with Denesh Ramdin catching the batsman's edged ball behind the stumps.New captain Andrew Strauss is the second favourite to be top batsman in the cricket betting but could only manage seven on day one before he too was caught by Ramdin from a ball off Jerome Taylor.Andrew Flintoff, who finished day one 43 not out, is the fourth favourite for batsman honours behind Alastair Cook - the lowest scorer with four.The match resumes today at 15:00 GMT with Flintoff and Matt Prior (27) returning to the crease.
