ECB chief impressed by Flower

Andy Flower's chances of becoming the next permanent England cricket coach have been given a boost by the managing director of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).Hugh Morris gave the former Zimbabwe batsman a vote of confidence ahead of tomorrow's final one-day international against the West Indies.Flower was installed in a temporary capacity ahead of the Caribbean tour following the dismissal of Peter Moores and despite some disappointing results, Morris paid tribute to the way he has coped with the role. The ECB chief also highlighted the strength of Flower's relationship with captain Andrew Strauss, stating: "It is fundamentally important the captain and coach share a vision of where they would want to take the team both on and off the field."England go into the final game tied at 2-2, having saved the one-day series with a nine-wicket win under the Duckworth-Lewis system. But the Windies are slight favourites to clinch the series at 4/5 with Extrabet, with the bookmaker offering 10/11 for the tourists.
