Flintoff out of World Twenty20

Andrew Flintoff has been ruled out of England's squad for next month's World Twenty20.The all-rounder had been hoping to compete in the tournament after knee surgery forced him to miss the Tests and one-day games against the West Indies. But he will instead continue with his rehabilitation in a bid to ensure he is ready for the Ashes, something national selector Geoff Miller alluded to."There is a lot of cricket still to play this year and it is important Andrew is fully fit for it," said Miller.Flintoff has been replaced in the 15-man squad by Adil Rashid of Yorkshire.England are currently a 12/1 shot with Ladbrokes for the World Twenty20 - which they host - while India are the bookmakers' favourites and punters can get odds of 10/3 with Extrabet. However, England skipper Andrew Strauss - who will himself play no part - noted earlier this week that his side has been improving and could be a "good outside bet".
