England "a good outside bet" for World Twenty20

England captain Andrew Strauss has backed his side to cause an upset at this summer's World Twenty20, which they will host.Strauss will not play a part in the contest, but believes his men have improved enough to be challengers. They are currently priced 10/1 by Paddy Power, but have secured a comfortable one-day international series victory over the West Indies.Yesterday's 58-run win at Edgbaston came after England put up a score of 328-7 - their third-highest one-day total ever.It followed a six-wicket triumph to hand England the series 2-0, after the first game was called off due to rain. And with the World Twenty20 taking place next week, Strauss remarked: "We will get an edge from playing in our own conditions. We are a good outside bet for that tournament."Bookmakers currently favour India for the competition, with Extrabet offering punters the best odds of 10/3.South Africa and Australia are joint second favourites, meanwhile, with a general price of 4/1.
