England beaten by South Africa
England have lost their opening match of the Super Eights stage of the World Twenty20 cup to South Africa by seven wickets.Captain Paul Collingwood won the toss and elected to bat in a loss that saw England all out for 111. Opening batsmen Luke Wright and Ravi Bopara made three runs between them, with Bopara being dismissed on the fifth ball of the first over. Kevin Pietersen was next in and managed 16 runs with four boundaries before he was caught by Roelof van der Merwe from an Albie Morkel full toss. Of England's remaining batsmen only Owais Shah and Collingwood broke double figures. Shah hit 38 runs from 33 balls, including two sixes, before being caught out by Mark Boucher after edging a Jacques Kallis delivery. England's tail-end batsmen collapsed and the last six players collected 25 runs between them. South Africa came into bat and beat England's total with ten balls to spare after Kallis secured an unbeaten 57 runs.
