Australia focus on Ashes after Twenty20 defeat
Captain Ricky Ponting has stated that Australia will now concentrate on the Ashes after losing to Sri Lanka in the World Twenty20 Cup yesterday. Ponting remarked that his team knew the danger of the Sri Lankan spin bowlers but were unable to secure victory. "We knew we had to play them well. We didn't do that and Sri Lanka deserved to win the game," he said. It was important to "move on as quickly as possible" and look towards preparations for the Ashes, he added.
