Lee: I'm ready to play
Australia paceman Brett Lee has hinted that he has put a lot of effort into ensuring he is picked for the Ashes, which starts this month.Lee remarked that he had not "trained for 25 weeks to sit on the sidelines" and as long as he continued to play well he would have a decent chance of making the team. He said: "I know if I bowl well and take wickets, I will be putting my hand up to be chosen for the first Test."The Australian managed to dismiss five batsmen in 53 deliveries against the England Lions in the second day of a tour match at New Road on Thursday. Joe Denly, Ian Bell, Vikram Solanki, Stephen Moore and Eoin Morgan all fell in a seven-over period, with Lee utilising reverse swing. Stan James (Go to Stan James ») currently has the visiting side as favourites to win the Ashes at 4/5. Those looking to bet on England can find odds of 2/1 at Blue Square (Go to Blue Square »).
