Nielsen: Brett Lee could feature
Australian coach Tim Nielsen has confirmed that fast-bowler Brett Lee has made himself a possible choice for the visitors in the last Ashes Test match against England at the Oval. Lee, who has missed all of the previous clashes in this year's series due to an injury to his side, faced the England Lions in a two-day warm-up match at Canterbury at the weekend, taking three for 37 runs.
According to Nielsen, Lee is likely for consideration, especially if the surface shows signs of causing the ball to reverse swing.
"As long as he is fit and gets through the next few days and we have a look at the conditions and if they suit he will very much come into contention to play," he said.
Nielsen admitted that getting into the final Test with a fully-fit squad in a good run of form was very beneficial to the team.
Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») consider a draw the most likely outcome for the fifth Ashes Test and is offering odds of 5/4 of a tie.
England would need a win to regain the urn and WBX(Go to WBX ») has the home side at 22/5 to achieve this.
