Siddle 'betting On 7-0 One-day Whitewash'
Australia pace bowler Peter Siddle is calling on his teammates to regain some pride for their Ashes defeat by beating England 7-0 in the one-day international series. The visitors are already 5-0 up in the series and William Hill(Go to William Hill ») is offering odds of 5/4 that the Aussies will remain undefeated over the next two matches.
Siddle admitted that to complete such a dominating performance against their Ashes tormentors would be "very pleasing".
He remarked: "We don't want to slacken off now and let all that momentum that we've built up go. We're going to be fighting hard to win the next two and win 7-0."
His bowling over the remaining contests could decide whether he is picked for the ICC Champions Trophy tournament in South Africa next week, the 24-year-old confirmed.
Those who think England will snatch the last two matches of the series can bet on them with Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power ») at 11/2.
Bet365(Go to Bet365 ») considers a 6-1 final score to be the most likely result, with 6/5 odds available on this outcome.
