Cricket Betting - Swann: I Want South Africa Win
England cricketer Graeme Swann has expressed his desire to defeat South Africa ahead of the upcoming Test series between the two teams. According to the spin-bowler, while many fans consider the Proteas a more difficult challenge than the Australians, Swann's main reason for wanting to be victorious is to better his chances of appearing in the next Ashes.
"For an Englishman, Australia home or away is the best challenge there is - you grow up wanting to play in the Ashes," he remarked.
The 30-year-old claimed that he nearly gave up the sport to enter a career in media after being left out of the England squad for seven years due to oversleeping and missing the team bus on a one-day tour.
South Africa are currently the favourites to win on home soil and are offered at odds of 1/2 with bookmaker Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power »).
Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») has England at 4/1 for punters looking to bet on the recent Ashes winners.
