Cricket Betting - Australia ODI Odds Affected By Wicketkeeper Injuries?
Australia's odds of winning the ongoing one-day international (ODI) series with India may have lengthened slightly with the news that wicketkeeper Tim Paine has been ruled out for the remaining matches due to a broken finger. Paine sustained the damage while catching a Peter Siddle delivery during the side's loss to India in the second game of the ODI event and is now being replaced by Graham Manou.
Incumbent Test wicketkeeper for Australia Brad Haddin is said to have recovered from a similar injury, however, national selection panel chairman Andrew Hilditch noted that Manou will be given the chance to play.
He remarked: "Graham richly deserves this opportunity following his Ashes debut and his successful domestic season last year in all forms of the game."
The third match of the five-day series will take place on Saturday (October 31st), with Stan James(Go to Stan James ») offering odds of 11/10 for an Australia win.
India are the favourites overall and are available at 8/11 with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») to come away as the outright victors.
