Cricket Betting - Pietersen: My Injury Won't Bother Me Anymore
England batsman Kevin Pietersen is expected to return from an Achilles injury in time for the side's upcoming one-day international series with South Africa next month and claims he is fully fit. Commenting on his lay-off to the Times, Pietersen stated that it has been a good opportunity to rekindle his love for the game.
He remarked: "I'll be starting off really enjoying myself - and this year I haven't particularly enjoyed playing cricket because I was in pain and because of what happened in January."
Pietersen was referring to the incident earlier this year where his England captaincy was taken away after a dispute with then national coach Peter Moores.
According to the 29-year-old, while it has been a tough 12 months, it has offered him the chance to refresh mentally.
Those looking to bet on KP to be England's top batsman throughout the one-day series with South Africa can find him at 5/2 with Betfair(Go to Betfair »).
However, the Proteas are the favourites to win overall and can be bought at Totesport(Go to Totesport ») for 2/5.
