Cricket Betting - England Odds Affected By "blip"?
England's hopes of going into the first of two Twenty20 international matches against South Africa unbeaten in warm-up games were dashed last night (November 10th) as the squad crumbled to a four-wicket loss. Facing South Africa A, the side was skippered by Paul Collingwood for the final preparation contest in Bloemfontein, with the all-rounder voicing his hopes that the performance was "just a blip".
The recent Ashes winners could be accused of poor batting, with only three players reaching double figures and Alastair Cook high-scoring with 22.
This left the visiting side on 89 all out, while the home team reached 90 with four men left.
Commenting on the result, Collingwood said: "Losing seven [batsmen] for 20 [runs], you're not going to win any games to be honest."
Stan James(Go to Stan James ») currently has England as 6/4 underdogs for the first Twenty20 international duel with South Africa on Friday, while the Proteas are available at odds of 5/9 with Betdaq(Go to Betdaq »).
