Cricket Betting - England Set For Collingwood Boost In SA
England could be given a boost for their upcoming one-day-international (ODI) series against South Africa as Paul Collingwood recovers from a back injury. The England team are due to begin their set of five ODI matches against the hosts on Friday and the 33-year-old has revealed that he is confident that he will be joining his teammates on the Johannesburg pitch.
"I would have been 50/50 if I had to play today, so I think there's a very good chance of me playing Friday," he told reporters in the build-up to the game.
And though he looks set to break the record for the most ODI appearances for England, Collingwood has been focusing on the team, which he has praised as probably the best he has played in.
However, Stuart Broad looks unlikely to figure on Friday after picking up a shoulder injury, though bowlers James Anderson and Graeme Swann are with Collingwood on the comeback trail.
England will go into the game as the underdogs, with Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») pricing them at 5/2 to win the series overall, while Betfair(Go to Betfair ») is offering odds of 23/2 for a drawn series.
