Prior: Beating SA Would Be A Dream Come True
England wicketkeeper Matt Prior has revealed that he and his teammates are determined to defeat South Africa in the ongoing Test series between the two sides. Andrew Strauss's men are currently 1-0 up after three Tests, but Prior has denied that this has led to complacency within the camp.
"This team is going out to win this Test match, not to hang on to a draw or try to scrape through," he remarked.
According to the 27-year-old, defeating the Proteas 2-0 would be "a dream come true" for the squad and admitted that England do not want to be the "nearly men".
The visitors have already clung on to two draws to maintain their leading edge over the South Africans, with last man Graham Onions clinching a tie in both Cape Town and Centurion.
Scheduled to commence on Thursday (January 14th), the last Test is set to take place in Johannesburg, with Stan James(Go to Stan James ») predicting an England win as the most likely outcome at 4/9.
Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») is offering 8/5 odds of a draw.
