Collingwood: England Still Have Energy
England are well prepared to win the last Test of the ongoing series against South Africa in Johannesburg, Paul Collingwood has stated. The tourists go into the final contest with a 1-0 lead over the Proteas, but Collingwood told Sky Sports News that the squad is not feeling the strain of a tough tour.
"The last few days have been brilliant," he said. "The energies that the guys have shown in the nets - it shows a lot that this week means a lot to us."
According to the Durham all-rounder, England are refusing to rest on their laurels and will be aiming to win the Test, rather than settle for a draw.
All of the players are feeling good in both body and mind, he added, which is a testament to how well captain Andrew Strauss and coach Andy Flower have judged when to give a break from action to certain team members.
The final Test begins tomorrow (January 14th), with South Africa currently 6/4 favourites with Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») to win - despite a victory only clinching them a drawn series - while Skybet(Go to Skybet ») has England at 9/4.
