Flower Backs Return To Form For Pietersen
England coach Andy Flower has stated that Kevin Pietersen is looking to recover his form for the side following his return from injury. Pietersen has failed to assert himself since coming back from surgery on damage to his Achilles, which saw him miss the end of the Ashes.
Flower said that despite KP's average performances in South Africa recently, the 29-year-old is hoping to regain his dominance with the bat.
"He's very hungry, he had quite a chunk of time out of international cricket and he's come back hungry," the coach noted.
According to Flower, it was always going to be a challenge for the Hampshire cricketer to return when England are facing South Africa on "sporty wickets".
The 2009 Ashes winners are due to face Pakistan in a Twenty20 series starting on Friday (February 19th), with Totesport(Go to Totesport ») offering odds of 7/2 that England will come away the victory.
However, William Hill(Go to William Hill ») considers a draw the most likely outcome at 11/10.
