Swann: Rashid Will Be World-class

Adil Rashid will become a "world-class" bowler in the future, England teammate Graeme Swann has claimed.

The 30-year-old said Rashid has "bags of talent" and just needs a little time to gain experience before he becomes a mainstay in the international squad.

According to Swann, who himself took nine years to become England's first-choice spinner after a brief stint in the national side in 1999, bowling in this manner takes practice.

He remarked: "He's still an exceptional cricketer now, he just needs to play a bit more cricket and get to know his own action that bit better."

Rashid celebrates his 22nd birthday today (February 17th) and will be joining the England squad on their tour of Bangladesh, which starts later this month.

In the series of three one-day internationals, England are currently considered the favourites with bookmaker Skybet(Go to Skybet ») at 2/7.

Totesport(Go to Totesport ») has Bangladesh available at odds of 3/1 to cause the upset.
