Sidebottom 'doubtful' For Bangladesh Test Series
Ryan Sidebottom may be available for selection during England's Test series against Bangladesh, which begins later this month. The two sides are currently facing each other in one-day internationals (ODIs), but Nottinghamshire bowler Sidebottom could be unfit to play after suffering damage to his leg.
An England and Wales Cricket Board spokesperson remarked: "Ryan sustained an injury to his right thigh in Sunday's game which led him to be ruled out for the one-day series."
According to the representative, the left-arm seamer will instead be reassessed in the coming days to judge whether he is fit to appear in the England line-up for the Tests.
James Tredwell is currently replacing Sidebottom, although Liam Plunkett and Ajmal Shahzad may also be in contention for a place in the starting team for the last ODI.
Currently in the second of three ODIs between the two sides, England are 1/8 favourites with bookmakers Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») and Betfred(Go to Betfred ») to win today's contest.
