Murray: Beckham has done well

Andy Murray has hinted he would like to stay as grounded as David Beckham despite his escalating popularity in the run-up to Wimbledon. The British number one said sports stars can suffer from "inflated opinions" and "big egos", but commended the England football player on staying level-headed."It happens a lot in sport nowadays and he's (Beckham) done a great job of not letting all the fame and pressure get to him," he said. Murray, 22, will face American Robert Kendrick in the first round of Wimbledon tomorrow and enters the tournament as the third seed. Rafael Nadal, who defeated the Scotsman on Centre Court in the quarter-finals last year, has had to pull out due to injury. Due to the Spanish world number one not playing, Murray is now second favourite to be victorious at this year's Wimbledon at 11/4 with Sportingbet (Go to Sportingbet »). Recent US Open winner Roger Federer is touted as most likely to win and Extrabet (Go to Extrabet ») have him at 10/11.
