Tennis Betting - Federer Favourite To Beat Murray

Roger Federer has emerged as the favourite to beat Andy Murray in the pair's upcoming ATP World Finals match-up.

Expekt(Go to Expekt ») has the world number one at odds of 11/17 to beat Scotsman Murray, but other bookmakers are more undecided, with Stan James(Go to Stan James ») offering 10/11 on both men.

The two have a history in the tournament, with the British player knocking Federer out of the group stages last year in a three-set match ending 4-6 7-6 7-5.

According to this season's French Open winner, Murray - who is 6-3 up in head-to-head matches over the Swiss legend - will be a difficult challenge.

He remarked: "Obviously I expect a difficult match. It's always fun playing your fellow rivals. I think Andy has been one of the guys I played the most."

Federer alluded to sickness and an injury as the reasons for being defeated by Murray in last year's event, which was held in Shanghai.
