Tennis Betting - Murray Confident Despite Odds
British number one Andy Murray has admitted that making it through to the next round of the ATP World Tour is challenging, but said winning against Roger Federer will be a big boost. Murray's group contains the Swiss, as well as recent US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro and Spaniard Fernando Verdasco, with the Scotsman already having beaten the Argentine 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 in his opening match-up.
Commenting on his victory over del Potro, he said: "It obviously helps a lot.
"But you have got to pretty much win two matches out of the three to give yourself a chance. I could still win two and not go through."
The 22-year-old will face Roger Federer today (November 24th) in a duel that many bookmakers are finding it difficult to call, with Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») offering both players at odds of 9/10.
Looking further ahead in the tournament, Betfred(Go to Betfred ») has Murray at 11/4 to take the ATP World Title, ranking behind Federer and Serbian Novak Djokovic who are both at 9/4.
