Murray Tips Himself For Australian Open Title

Andy Murray has claimed that the Australian Open is a great chance for him to lift his first Grand Slam trophy.

The British number one noted that his preparation for the tournament has been "really good", adding that he is "ready to win" the Melbourne event.

"I feel like I'm serving well, moving well and hitting the ball better than I have for a long time from the back of the court," he remarked.

While the 22-year-old said that he is in good physical condition, he admitted to having a stiff back due to inaction over the last two months.

The Scot also confirmed he will be practising more frequently on outdoor courts to ensure he is fully primed for next week.

Those looking to bet on Murray can find odds of 6/1 at Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») that he will land the Australian Open, which begins on January 18th.

Expekt(Go to Expekt ») considers Roger Federer the favourite at 3/1.
