Federer 'crashes Out' In Miami

Roger Federer has been dumped out of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami in the fourth round by Tomas Berdych.

The Swiss world number one suffered a shock 6-4, 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (8-6) defeat to continue a poor run of form that saw him knocked out of his last tournament in the third round.

As a result, Berdych has seen his odds of winning the title cut to 8/1 with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet »), while Rafael Nadal has become the 2/1 favourite with Betfred(Go to Betfred »).

Federer, who beat Andy Murray to win the first major of the season in Australia, was at a loss to explain the result.

"My game has issues at the moment. I'm definitely lacking timing. I don't know where that comes from," he said.

Meanwhile, Andy Roddick - 21/5 with Betfair(Go to Betfair ») to win - advanced to the quarterfinals by beating German Benjamin Becker in straight sets, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.
