Khan: Fighting Hatton would be brilliant
Amir Khan has admitted that a bout with Ricky Hatton could be on the cards in the run up to his WBA title fight on July 18th. The 22-year old, who is a 1/2 favourite to beat reigning champion Andreas Kotelnik at Bet365 (Go to Bet365 »), told Sky Sports news that a Hatton match would definitely be interesting for the future. He said: "A lot of people are building it up and after Ricky's defeat, Ricky wants to come back and get a big win so we're just going to leave it with the promoters."Khan added that the match-up would be huge for the UK and it has been reported that the Bolton boxer's management team are trying to arrange it. Despite the 2004 Olympic silver medallist being knocked out in the first round by Breidis Prescott last year, Ukrainian Kotelnik is the underdog in their fight at the MEN Arena. Victor Chandler (Go to VCBet ») currently has the WBA holder at 8/5.
