Kotelnik: Khan is underestimating me

Andreas Kotelnik has accused Amir Khan of looking past him in the run-up to their WBA light-welterweight bout scheduled for July 18th. The reigning champion - who is a 15/8 underdog at Sportingbet (Go to Sportingbet ») - called the Bolton boxer "arrogant" and said he is planning on "punishing him badly" when it comes to fight time. He said: "All I hear from Khan's camp is that he's going to be fighting [Ricky] Hatton or [Juan Manuel] Marquez or even King Kong after he has beaten me."Once Khan feels the first punch, the Ukrainian added, he will know that he should have focused more on this match rather than concentrating on future bouts. Due to take place at the MEN arena, the fight has already been delayed after Kotelnik damaged a tooth, which then became infected. Khan is considered a 4/9 favourite with bookmaker Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports »). Those looking for something different can bet on either fighter winning within the first 60 seconds of the bout with both contestants offered at 66/1 with Skybet (Go to Skybet »).
