Kotelnik confident of retaining title

Andreas Kotelnik has confirmed he expects to beat Amir Khan in their upcoming WBA light-welterweight title match. The Ukrainian remains close-mouthed about his training tactics but showed he is confident of keeping the belt he won from Gavin Rees in Cardiff last year, Sky Sports reports. He told the news provider: "I am the world champion, this is my job, I have been doing it for 24 years and I have no doubt I will win."While he did not want to reveal too much about his proposed techniques for beating his opponent he did say he would "see (Khan) in the ring".After pulling out of the originally scheduled bout on June 27th due to a tooth infection, the fighter has resumed sparring but is a 6/4 underdog with bookmaker Totesport (Go to Totesport ») to beat Khan. Olympic silver medallist Khan is at odds of 1/2 with Stan James (Go to Stan James »). The Bolton boxer's last loss was to a first-round knockout from Breidis Prescott in 2008, although he has picked up two wins since.
