Haye: I Will KO Boxing Champ Valuev
Heavyweight boxer David Haye has promised to knock out his WBA title opponent Nikolai Valuev when the two face off on November 7th. The outspoken Londoner admitted that the seven foot two inch Russian is "freaky", but stated he remained confident of victory.
"I believe I can knock him out," he said, adding: "Now I've been eyeball to eyeball with him and seen the arena, it makes it all that much more real in my mind."
Commenting after the two fighters squared up at the fight's Nuremburg venue, the 28-year-old confirmed he wanted to be the first British fighter to claim the heavyweight belt since Lennox Lewis.
Valuev, who is the tallest champion of all time in the weight group, said he was prepared for the fight and expected Haye to use his speed to win.
Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») currently has the Brit challenger as the favourite at odds of 4/9, while Valuev is available at 7/4 with Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes »).
