Boxing Betting News - Froch Claims Dirrell Has Doubts
WBC super-middleweight title holder Carl Froch has stated that belt contender Andre Dirrell doubts his own skills in the ring. Notthingham-born Froch is set to face the American fighter on Saturday (October 17th) in the Super Six World Boxing Classic and Dirrell has had some choice words for the British fighter, Sky Sports News reports.
Froch has said that he believes the challenger's comments that he will expose the champion "like a page three pin-up" are just a front.
"I think all the big talk is just to mask his own insecurities that maybe he's not ready for this level," he remarked, adding that Dirrell may be beginning to "doubt his own ability".
The fight is scheduled to take place at the Trent FM Arena, with Totesport(Go to Totesport ») offering odds of 1/2 that home-grown pugilist Froch will retain his belt.
Those looking to bet on The Cobra's opponent can find Dirrell at 11/8 with Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet »).
