Boxing Betting - Munroe Favourite To Defeat Maludrottu

English fighter Rendall Munroe is the bookmakers' favourite to retain his European super-bantamweight crown when he faces Simone Maludrottu tonight (November 20th).

Skybet(Go to Skybet ») currently has the Leicester boxer at 1/7 to beat the Italian, but Maludrottu is more confident in his abilities and has described Munroe as nothing more than a "stepping stone".

"Munroe is ranked second for his championship and I will take that place and get another challenge," Maludrottu said.

According to the 31-year-old, he has fought much tougher competition in the past, including two wins over Damaen Kelly.

"Munroe is not as good as him or many of my opponents," he added.

Maludrottu noted that a victory over Munroe would set him up for a world title fight against the current WBC super-bantamweight champ Toshiaki Nishioka.

Those looking to bet on challenger can find him at odds of 5/1 with Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») for the bout, which will be held at the Harvey Hadden Leisure Centre in Nottingham.
