Boxing Betting - Khan: I Will KO Salita

Current WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan has claimed he will stop Dmitriy Salita in their bout on Saturday (December 5th).

The Bolton boxer told Sky Sports News that while he believes the fight is going to be difficult, he is confident that he will knock out the American.

"I really think I am going to take this guy out," he said, adding: "The fight is not going to go the full distance, I can put money on that."

Salita is currently undefeated at 30-0-1, with 13 of his wins coming via stoppage, but Khan stated that his fighting style is what will be the deciding factor in his favour.

While Salita is fast, he remarked, he does not have the same level of power in his punches.

Betfred(Go to Betfred ») currently sees the reigning champion as a 1/6 favourite, while the challenger is available at 9/2 with Stan James(Go to Stan James ») to topple the title holder.
