Boxing Betting - Warren: Khan Could Fight Manny
Amir Khan may come up against Manny Pacquiao at some point in the future, Frank Warren has stated. The promoter played down rumours that the current WBA light-welterweight champion will face fan favourite Ricky Hatton, but said a fight with Pac Man could happen.
Khan defended his title at the weekend with a 76 second knockout of previously undefeated Dmitriy Salita.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live's Sportsweek programme, Warren said: "[Khan and Pacquiao] are professional fighters and maybe a couple of years down the road if Manny Pacquiao's still around, it may be a fight that takes place."
Commenting on a possible Hatton return, Warren said it would be "crazy" and that the Manchester-born fighter does not have the legs or reflexes anymore.
Despite his comments, bookmaker Skybet(Go to Skybet ») has odds of Ricky Hatton making a spectacular comeback against Juan Manuel Marquez at 11/10.
Early betting for Pacquiao against Floyd Mayweather Jr is also available, with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») offering odds of 7/5 on the Filipino pugilist winning.
