Mayweather-Mosley Bout 'a Possibility'

Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions has claimed he will do everything in his power to arrange a fight between Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The chief executive officer said that he is "cautiously optimistic" that the bout will go ahead and confirmed that it is something that fans have been waiting for.

"Mayweather is interested and so, of course, is Shane. Now it's a matter of negotiating the right deal structure that makes everyone happy," he remarked.

WBA welterweight champion Mosley has already expressed his intent to fight the pound-for-pound legend after calling him out following Mayweather's recent victory over Juan Manuel Marquez.

It comes as Mosley looks for a new opponent after his January 30th contest with WBC belt holder Andre Berto was put back, with the latter losing family members in the Haiti earthquake.

If the fight with Berto does take place at a later date, both Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet ») and Coral(Go to Coral ») have Mosley as a 1/2 favourite to win.
