Jones: I Will Terminate The Executioner

Pound-for-pound legend Roy Jones Jr has claimed he will demolish his upcoming opponent Bernard Hopkins when they fight in April.

The two first battled 17 years ago, in a contest that saw Jones as the winner via a unanimous decision and he believes the outcome of this duel will not be much different.

"Now I can finally terminate The Executioner once and for all," Jones remarked, referring to Hopkins's boxing moniker.

"My new nickname for this fight will be The Terminator," the outspoken pugilist added.

Hopkins was equally confident, stating that a lot has changed since he fought Jones in 1993 and that this time the result will be different.

The two will be promoting the rematch at New York and Los Angeles today (February 2nd) and tomorrow.

Despite his previous victory Jones is the underdog, with both Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») and Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») seeing Hopkins as a 1/6 favourite to avenge his previous defeat.
