US boxing star Kelly Pavlik will put his WBC and WBO middleweight tiles on the line later this year. The Ghost is seeking to win over his doubters after he lost to the veteran Bernard Hopkins in 2008 and only defended the belts twice in 2009 because of injuries.
But next up for the 27-year-old is a bout against Sergio Martinez of Argentina in Atlantic City on April 17th.
The incumbent will be looking to improve in his 36-1 record and William Hill(Go to William Hill ») has him at 1/2 to win the contest, while his opponent is 13/8 to prevail with Stan James(Go to Stan James »).
Pavlik, who was attending Manny Pacquiao's victory over Joshua Clottey in Dallas on Saturday night, insisted he had no doubt about commiting to the fight.
"It is great to be back in training and it is great to be defending my titles in Atlantic City where my world title reign began."
