Els targets major success
Golfer Ernie Els has targeted a major victory by the end of the year. The South African star missed the cut at the Masters in Augusta and is now determined to add to his haul of three major wins.He explained that he is working hard on his game in order to ensure that he remains in contention, having failed to reach the weekend play at the Masters in three consecutive years."It's not October so I've still got three majors left and I would really like to get a major this year," said Els, 39.Next up is the Ballantine's Championship on the South Korean island of Jeju, which begins later this week.Els is currently joint second favourite for the tournament alongside Lee Westwood in the online golf betting market at around 14/1.However, 888 Sport makes him joint favourite, with the South African and Henrik Stenson both priced 11/1.Last year's winner, Graeme McDowell, is given odds of 16/1.
