Daly 'one to watch' at Irish Open
Several players have been tipped as 'ones to watch' at the Irish Open, which gets underway in Drogheda this week.A total of six golfers have been highlighted by Sky Sports as preparations are made for the tournament's return to Baltray after a five-year absence.Padraig Harrington was among them and is currently leading the betting, with Betfair giving him odds of 12/1.The news source observed that he became the first Irishman to win the event in 25 years back in 2007, although he has not had a victory in nine months.Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood also made the list and are second and third favourites respectively, although Blue Square prices them both 16/1.Thomas Bjorn and Graeme McDowell were also predicted to be in the mix, although an outside bet for the event could be John Daly.He is given odds of 66/1 by Victor Chandler, after a closing round of 66 saw him finish in a tie for second at the Italian Open last week, with the tournament being won by Argentine Daniel Vancsik.
