Kaymer wins Scottish Open
Martin Kaymer secured his second European Tour title in the space of eight days this weekend as he took the Scottish Open trophy at Loch Lomond.Sunday's win means the German could be the first golfer in 23 years to win three consecutive Tour titles if he is victorious at the British Open in Turnberry, which begins later this week. Speaking about his chances of doing the triple - a feat not seen since Seve Ballesteros came first in the Irish, Monte Carlo and French Open tournaments in 1986 - the 24-year-old remained modest. He said: "Everybody asks me about the third win in a row, but we are playing a major and the field is going to be the best we have all year long."Stating that he had never played at Turnberry before, Kraymer admitted that it would be a difficult challenge. Despite his back-to-bank wins, Kaymer is a 33/1 outsider with Stan James (Go to Stan James »). Tiger Woods is considered the favourite with most bookmakers and can be found at odds of 12/5 with Paddy Power (Go to Paddy Power »).
